Grants Policy Analyst to apply critical thinking skills, knowledge, and experience with Federal grants management to support design, implementation, and continuous improvement in financial management to support client missions.
The
Grants Policy Analyst must have experience in Federal grants management with, or in support of a government agency.
Primary Duties: - Collaborate with team members and relevant client staff to support federal grants management and program administration.
- Assist in tracking grant program activities and status, including case management, issue resolution, compliance activities, and grant close outs.
- Research issues to support compliance and issue resolution.
- Analyze program, financial, and other relevant data to support effective and efficient implementation and continuous improvement.
- Assist in capacity building and internal controls through developing workflows, process maps, white papers, templates, and other documentation.
- Develop, research, and implement grants business processes, training materials, and documentation for federal grant and other financial assistance programs.
- Utilize data analytics and visualization to evaluate and present data, processes, and recommend solutions compliant with relevant laws, regulations, policies, and best practices.
- Assist with ad-hoc requests that may arise.
Minimum Technical Requirements: - B.A. in public policy, public administration, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in grants management, financial management, or budget at a government agency or consulting firm.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills both verbal and in writing.
- Advanced Microsoft 365 experience, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, MS Teams, and SharePoint.
- Experience with Uniform Guidance (2CFR Part 200), and related grants guidance.
- Demonstrated interest in grants management, best practices, and continuous process improvement. Financial certifications (CGFM, CGMS, or similar) a plus.
