QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Education (per State regulations): BA/BS in Early Childhood Education (ECE) and the ECE teaching certification.
Additional Preferred Qualifications: Two or more years of experience in ECE programs and supervisory experience.
Must have an interest in child development, a flexible personality, the ability to work independently, and excellent oral and written communication skills, plus enjoy variety in daily work routines.
RESPONSIBILITIES: In a center-based early childhood classroom, the Pre-K Counts teacher is responsible for managing all aspects of services planning, coordination, recordkeeping, problem solving, and communication to ensure delivery of a quality early childhood education program in compliance with all applicable regulations for enrolled children and families.
LOCATIONS:
LEWISTOWN CHILDREN’S CENTER, Lewistown, PA
HOURS & SALARY: Full-time (40 hours per week, 195 days per year, based on the school-year calendar); starting salary is $40,275.
