Summit Handling Systems Inc is Hiring a Solutions Sales Representative Near Manhattan, NY

Summit Handling Systems, Inc is an award-winning, privately owned third generation family business with a nearly 70-year presence in the Northeast. An ‘essential’ company in the nation’s supply chain, we sell, service, and rent forklifts and related materials handling equipment from 5 locations, employing over 170 people, and still growing. We are seeking an accomplished Solutions Sales Representative to join our Warehouse Solutions Group. As a Summit representative, you will be responsible for the sale of emerging product lines designed to maximize efficiency space utilization. This Sales position offers an attractive base salary, commissions, and benefit package. Summit is an active Marketing corporation that generates quality leads to support our sales team.

Responsibilities & Duties

· Develop trusting relationships with existing clients and targeted accounts using a consultative sales approach.

· The salesperson will provide material handling systems solutions to meet their business objectives.

· Recommend specialty material handling equipment, from racking and other stationary products, to powered equipment, to automated systems.

· These solutions will require an understanding of the clients’ overall operations, from receiving to shipping.

· Demonstrate proof of concept with diagrams and calculations demonstrating improvements in safety, throughput, and other prospect KPIs

· Generate proposals, negotiate, and close transactions.

· Sales forecasting, target development planning, reporting

· Meet and exceed sales goals.

· Coordinate internally as well as with customer contacts from start to finish to ensure complete customer satisfaction.

· Use CRM to identify and track status of sales opportunities.

· Use technology to track projects.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities

· Self-starter with relentless energy and positivity that is a “Team Player.”

· At least 4 years of Business-to-Business sales experience with proven ability to achieve targets/goals.

· Excellent interpersonal relationship skills·

· Material Handling Industry experience preferred.

· A keen understanding of sales processes and buyer needs and behaviors.

· Ability to build lasting relationships, unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction.

· Competent in, or willing to learn, computer programs, such as Microsoft Word and CRM

· CAD or other similar capability a plus

Pay: $60,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
