Job Description:

Reports directly to the Owner and/or Project Manager. The position consists of constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, wallboard, etc., using hand tools and power tools. Typical scope of work is demo, framing, roofing, siding, windows, doors, exterior trim, interior finish work, and custom millwork.

Job Responsibilities:

• Study specifications and blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout.
• Independently do quantity takeoffs and place material orders in advance of work.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above-ground level.
• Utilize a multitude of hand and power tools in a safe & responsible manner.
• Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Layout, frame interior & exterior walls, sheathe, and roof per the plans with little oversight.

• Install doors, windows, interior trim, kitchen cabinets and interior millwork.
• Move materials around Jobsite and clean up debris daily to maintain a clean, safe worksite.

• Work efficiently and be able to adapt to changes due to client, weather, or material delays.
• Ability to make good decisions, communicate effectively, and execute the work as asked.
• Demonstrate leadership in attitude, timeliness, effort, and quality of work.

Position Type/Hours/Location

This is a full-time position. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 pm. This position may require extended hours and some weekend work as needed. Work is mostly in Rangeley and the surrounding communities.

Required Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 5 years of carpentry experience (Commercial or Residential)
