Summit Medical Group is Hiring an Ultrasound Technologist - Summit Diagnostic Center at Fountain City Near Knoxville, TN
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: (List does not include all duties assigned)
- Performs ultrasound procedures on all scheduled patients safely and accurately.
- Follows imaging protocols to assure consistent and accurate test results.
- Treats patients in a professional and pleasant manner while attending to their needs and maximizing their level of comfort.
- Adheres to established policies and procedures, including ACR accreditation imaging guidelines, OSHA and the corporate compliance plan.
- Adjusts to varying workflow as needed; requests assistance from co-workers and or supervisor as appropriate.
- Maintains ultrasound equipment QC
- Orders and stocks all supplies, as requested by supervisor.
- Notifies supervisor in a timely manner re: any challenges with equipment.
- Maintains appropriate logs, card files, film folders, test results, etc., in an orderly fashion.
- Assists in other areas during idle times in assigned areas.
- Performs all duties while exhibiting a courteous and cooperative manner to all co-workers, management, and the public.
- Maintains CPR certification and all certifications/ continuing education required and appropriate for position.
- Demonstrates current competencies related to job position.
- Maintains strict confidentiality.
- Performs related tasks as requested by supervisor.
EXPERIENCE: Two years’ experience in ultrasound preferred. Experience in echocardiography preferred but not required.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: RDMS certification required.
