Summit Oaks Hospital is Hiring a Director of Admissions Near Summit, NJ

Responsibilities:

Summit Oaks Hospital, a 126 bed, private acute care hospital and chemical dependency treatment center, located in a picturesque suburban setting, fully accredited (by the Joint Commission), has been providing quality health care to adult, child and adolescent northeastern USA residents, since 1902.Summit Oaks has repeatedly been recognized in U.S. News & World Report, as one of the nation's best behavioral health hospitals.

The Director of Admissions has responsibility for assessment, referral and admission activities. The Director ensures prompt response to patient and referral needs, provides clinical supervision to staff, assures appropriateness of risk assessments, crisis interventions and referrals to level of care. The individual also promotes patient care consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Summit Oaks Hospital. This individual also supervises the communications staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Degree in nursing, social work, mental health/behavioral sciences, or related field required; Master’s Degree required.

Experience: A minimum of five (5) years direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting desirable. Working knowledge of the Addiction & Recovery field and experience in clinical interviewing, patient assessment, family motivation, treatment planning, communicating with external review organizations or comparable entities, and working effectively with people of diverse backgrounds.

Licensure: LPC, R.N., L.C.S.W. or applicable license.

Additional Requirements: Complete knowledge of crisis intervention techniques. Trained in management assaultive behavior.
