What You’ll Do:

The Peer Support Program Supervisor works as part of the Peer Leadership team to ensure that peer services are operating effectively, identifies opportunities for administrative efficiencies, and works to streamline clinical workflows to maximize capacity. Assists the Peer Services Program Manager with operation and administration of peer program to meet the behavioral health needs of clients. Establishes standards that ensure peer resources are utilized at an optimal level, directs and develops staff, and collaborates with multidisciplinary professional staff. Responsible for administrative supervision of peer specialists embedded on various clinical teams. Prepares team for new and emerging treatments and/or service array changes. Responsible for on-site leadership, which may include providing crisis intervention, attending to needs of staff within the building, problem solving between treatment team members, or helping clients who are in need of assistance. Will perform direct client care for clients needing peer support services. All levels of staff at SummitStone Health Partners work within a highly collaborative team environment that supports ongoing education and learning. This position will demonstrate a commitment and provide leadership for Summitstone Health Partner’s values by delivering visionary and operational leadership while fostering trust, collaboration, and a diverse and inclusive environment.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Work as a team member with peer support services across SummitStone and with the other peer support services supervisors.
  • Assist with developing an overarching strategic plan for recovery services at various SummitStone facilities.
  • Serve as a resource person to clinical staff, case managers, and team leads regarding peer services.
  • Collaborate with other staff in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating peer services, including collaborating with Program Manager.
  • Create schedules for peers and helps manage schedules and coverage needs in collaboration with clinical supervisors.
  • Administratively supervises peers including approving timesheets, leave requests.
  • Evaluate staff performance for all direct reports; address performance issues, resolve conduct and ethical issues; carry out disciplinary action when needed. Conduct performance reviews for all direct reports.
  • Establish team-level management information and communication mechanisms.
  • Assist with change management by coaching staff through necessary changes or program improvements.
  • Ensure accurate records and reporting and compliance with county, state and federal laws, rules and regulations regarding clinical staff, in addition to any reporting for grants/contracts assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required:

  • High school diploma or completion of G.E.D
  • Lived experience with mental health and/or substance use issues (either personally or as a family member) with 2 years of sustained recovery
  • 1 years of experience in a supervisory role
  • At least 1 years of experience with program development and peer services.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be evaluated and considered
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record
  • Knowledge of diversity and inclusion with the relevant ability to engage, communicate, interact, and work effectively and cooperatively with people of different backgrounds, identities, and culturally diverse communities

Preferred:

  • Colorado Peer Specialist certification or willingness to immediately work toward certification. All trainings, work experience hours, and costs toward certification are covered in-house.
  • Must have working knowledge of SAHMSA Peer Specialist Core Competencies and Colorado Practitioners Association Peer Code of Ethics
  • COPA Colorado Peer Specialist Certification (CPFS), current and in good-standing preferred
  • Bilingual/bi-cultural preferred

Total Rewards

The typical hiring range for this position is $58,011 - $69,618 annually, based on relevant years of experience.
