TITLE:Assistant Principal
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Master’s Degree, or a Master's Degree in progress from an accredited college or university.
2. Valid Alabama Certification in appropriate area(s) of educational
leadership.
3. Demonstrated proficiency in the areas of oral and written communication
4. Effective organizational and interpersonal skills
5. Minimum of three (3) years successful teaching experience.
6. Administrative experience preferred
REPORTS TO: Principal
SUPERVISES:Teachers
JOB GOAL:To relieve the principal of such impediments as to prevent him/her from fulfilling his/her chief responsibility of promoting the educational well-being of each student in the school.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and work year to be established by the Board.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Administrative Personnel.
