LPCC-S Supervisor for Independent Licensure
Position Summary: PRN
Provide clinical supervision to other counselors, typically those working towards their full LPCC license, guiding them through case management, treatment planning, ethical decision-making, and overall professional development while ensuring high quality client care is delivered; essentially acting as a mentor to help them gain the necessary skills to practice independently.
Key responsibilities of an LPCC-S supervisor:

Direct clinical supervision:
Regularly reviewing caseloads, providing feedback on client interactions, assessing treatment plans, and offering guidance on complex cases with supervisees.

Ethical and legal oversight:
Ensuring supervisees adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards in their practice.

Professional development:
Providing training and education on theoretical frameworks, counseling techniques, and best practices to supervisees.

Case review and documentation:
Reviewing client documentation, progress notes, and treatment plans to ensure accuracy and quality of care.

Mentorship and coaching:
Supporting supervisees in their personal and professional growth, addressing challenges, and fostering self-reflection.

Monitoring progress:
Tracking supervisee's development and identifying areas needing further attention.

Crisis intervention support:
Providing guidance and support to supervisees when dealing with crisis situations with clients.
Qualifications
Education:
- Required: Masters degree in a mental health related field. Current unencumbered license in state of employment as LPC, LMFT, LSW, LISW, LISW-S, LPCC, LPCC-S, LMSW, or LCSW, or state equivalent license. Current CPR or CPI, which may be obtained during orientation
- Maintains education and development appropriate for position.
Experience
- Required: A minimum of two (2) years of supervised clinical experience.
- Preferred: Assessment and evaluation experience
