BASIC FUNCTION:

Under the supervision of the Community Manager, Seasonal Workers provide all maintenance and grounds care for the Sun Cove Community.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures that community facilities and grounds are well maintained, cleanly and inviting.
• Uses various park maintenance tools (lawn mower, trimmer etc.).
• Conducts basic chemical tests and keeps logs of said tests.
• Aids in that care and operation of a large swimming pool.
• Performs maintenance and repair of a large irrigation system.
• Applies chemicals for weed control.
• Interacts with Community Members in a professional manner.
• Performs many other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Highly self-motivated with a positive attitude.
• Should have good communication skills, both with residents and other team members.
• Must efficiently handle a changing environment and be capable of dealing with multiple people and various situations simultaneously.
• Must have a team-oriented attitude and take direction from Manager.
• Must pay attention to detail.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Must have the ability to read, write and speak English.
• Must have the ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules.
• Must have the ability to present information and respond.

REASONING ABILITY:

• Must have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions (i.e., written, oral, etc.).

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma/GED; or equivalent work experience that demonstrates qualities of sound judgment and dependability or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Must possess a valid driver's license.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
