This is a position for a CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Milling Machine Operator to manufacture parts from raw material to completion per blue print.
A typical day for a CNC Milling Machine Operator looks like this:

- Start the shift at 6:00 AM and ending around 2:30 PM
- Measure dimensions of completed products or work pieces to verify conformance to specifications.
- Remove fixtures, tools, or other parts from equipment.
- Replace worn equipment components and replenishing cutting fluid.
- Mount raw material or tools onto production equipment.
- Clean and maintain a safe workspace.
- Learn and become inspired to continually improve.
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
- Post-Secondary Certificate - awarded for training completed after high school (for example, in Personnel Services, Engineering-related Technologies, NIMS, CNC Trades, Mechanics and Repairers, Precision Production Trades)
- Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Mathematics - Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, and their applications.
- Design - Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
- Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of finished components.
- English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
- Equipment Maintenance - Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
- Equipment Selection - Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
- Operation and Control - Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
- Programming - Writing G Code programs for various jobs.
- Quality Control Analysis - Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
- Troubleshooting - Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
- Spend Time Bending or Twisting the Body
- Spend Time Making Repetitive Motions
- Spend Time Standing and Spend Time Walking
- Spend Time Using Your Hands to Handle, Control, or Feel Objects, Tools, or Controls
- Ability to Lift up to 50 lbs. Without Assistance
- Exposed to Contaminants
- Sounds, Noise Levels Are Distracting
- Indoors, Environmentally Controlled
- Wear Common Protective or Safety Equipment such as Safety Shoes, Glasses, Gloves or Hearing Protection
