The position of FSQA (Food Safety & Quality Assurance) Manager leads the facility Quality Assurance team and plans, coordinates, and executes quality assurance, quality control, and food safety programs designed to ensure continuous production of Sun Orchard products consistent with established standards of quality and food safety at a plant level.

Job Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Coordinate and review daily activities of the Quality Assurance technicians and provide guidance regarding quality and food safety issues.

Supervise QA hourly employees, ensure training on food safety and quality procedures.

Maintain compliance with GMPs, HACCP, SOPs, SSOPs, regulatory requirements and company polices.

Oversee product testing inspection, laboratory testing procedures and record- keeping.

Responsible for sampling, interpretation results and providing final disposition based on statistical analysis.

Support the execution of internal and thirds party audits and participate in inspections; analyze the results and deficiencies found.

Assist with the activities of the company hold, traceability & recall programs.

Ensure that all product releases meet all microbiological / testing, manufacturing and customer specifications.

Under the direction of Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager, investigate, respond to and document food safety product quality issues.

Other duties as assigned.
