Sun River Health is a leading healthcare organization dedicated to providing comprehensive, high-quality medical and social services to underserved communities. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior External Engagement Manager to join our dynamic team.

This position will be full-time based in Tarrytown, NY with a hybrid working option. The standard scheduled is Monday through Friday 9 a.m. -5 p.m. with weekend and evening flexibility as needed for events. Must have reliable transportation and flexible schedule.

The Senior External Engagement Manager will lead sponsorship outreach efforts for our fundraising events and provide support for all Foundation events. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, ability to secure financial support, attention to detail, and the ability to advance multiple projects forward concurrently. The ideal candidate will possess a creative mindset, can-do attitude, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for seeing Sun River Health’s mission in action throughout the communities we serve because of their efforts.

Responsibilities:

· Play a key role in Event Underwriting fundraising – enabling Special Events to meet departmental financial goals.

· Solicit financial support and in-kind donations for fundraising events as appropriate.

· Oversee Migrant health best practices conference planning to engage internal and external partners

• Follow-up with Board, Committees, Honorees and other constituencies to maximize event income and committee participation
• Provide logistical strategy and support in the planning and execution of annual special event s for Sun River Health

· Oversee design and development process for collateral

· Cultivate relationships with partners and community stakeholders to enhance event participation and support.

• Successfully organize – under the supervision of the ED/DSE – small friend-raising cultivation, board and internal staff events as needed
• Provide support for all Foundation events

· Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging event technologies to enhance event experiences and outcomes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field required

Proven experience (5 years) in organizing and executing successful events, preferably in the healthcare or nonprofit sector.

Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing circumstances.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills to build relationships with stakeholders, sponsors, and vendors.

Creative mindset and the ability to think strategically while paying attention to details.

Proficiency in event management software and tools, including registration systems, project management software, and virtual event platforms.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Knowledge of healthcare industry trends and issues is a plus.

Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
