Description
Entune Behavioral Health is an outpatient Behavioral Health Group that offers individual, couples, and family
therapy as well as other Behavioral Health services in Arizona.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) serves as the provider of therapeutic services for members of the
organization. BHTs are responsible for coordinating the care of patients with emotional, mental, or
psychological problems. They assess the patient's condition and establish both short and long-term goals in
alignment with the Licensed Clinician’s treatment plan. They also monitor the patient's progress and coordinate
with the Licensed Clinician to adjust the plan as necessary. They act as a liaison between the patient, family, and
service providers to ensure effective treatment. BHTs may also offer practical assistance to their clients, such as
helping them with insurance inquiries, financial/resource planning, and setting personal goals. They must be
able to work independently, but also function as a team member, providing high quality services to our clients.

The BHT responsibilities include:
• Maintaining confidentiality of records aligning with HIPAA requirements
• Assessing for risk of harm to self and others
• Maintain client-related paperwork (billing, BH screeners, progress notes, contact notes, and other required
forms
• Evaluation of physical and/or mental conditions based on review of information through staffing with the
treatment team
• Observation of the client(s)
• Assist with ongoing quality-management efforts
• Attend relevant BH case meetings
• Refer members to community resources and internal services as necessary
• Engage in population health and evidence-based driven measures to enhance outcomes of the client and
align with Entune BH’s values.
• Additional responsibilities as appropriate.
The BHT will also perform a number of duties traditionally aligned with a Front Office representative. These
duties are not limited to include greeting and scheduling patients and visitors, calling patients to remind them
of appointments, answering and routing calls, making transactions, assisting with medical records, completing
referrals within the electronic health record, medical records, prior authorizations, tasking providers patient
communication/requests, eligibility verification, triaging mental health and possible primary/general care
needs, faxing, scanning consults/consents, and keeping paperwork organized. The BHT mainly uses telephones
and computers to communicate with patients and staff, so they must have basic knowledge of computers. The
BHT must interact frequently with patients, medical professionals, and supervisors, meaning they must have
excellent communication skills and be personable.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, sociology, or related field (Required*)
• Bilingual (preferred)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Software especially 365 platform
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
• Strong organizational skills and communication skills
• Knowledge of integrated healthcare delivery models (preferred)
