- Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards.
- Balance Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery to achieve positive results in all areas.
- Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees.
- Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules.
- Responsible for tracking daily production metrics.
- Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance.
- Check production output according to quality specifications.
- Ensure good communication is given either verbally or written to all members of staff.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures.
- Track absenteeism and timekeeping.
- Work closely with other shift supervisors to ensure production handovers are effective.
- Train and coach employees.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Previous lead or management experience required.
- 2-3 years proven experience as Production Manager or similar role preferred.
- Possesses communication skills sufficient to work effectively with internal and external customers to Solomon Corporation.
- Proven track record in leadership within a production environment.
- Ability to analyze problems and make independent judgments to initiate corrective action or resolution.
- MicroSoft computer skills.
- Satisfactory current performance and work history.
- Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, 5S. and Change Management experience preferred.
