Are you a talented and passionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) looking for an exciting opportunity in the field of education? Sunbelt, a leading staffing agency in the healthcare and education sectors, is seeking a dedicated and skilled SLPA to join our team on a contract basis.
Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to implement individualized treatment plans and interventions for students with speech and language disorders
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in a school setting, following established protocols and goals
  • Assist in developing and implementing strategies and techniques to enhance students' communication and language abilities
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support students' academic success
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other required paperwork
  • Stay informed about the latest research, techniques, and trends in speech-language pathology to provide evidence-based services

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or related field
  • Active Texas SLPA licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure
  • Previous experience working as an SLPA in a school setting is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, students, and parents
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to diverse student populations and changing environments
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate and organized records and documentation
  • Must pass a background check and meet all other compliance requirements
