Job Details:

Full-time
Working primarily with moderate to severe behavior students
Location: Smyrna, DE area

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with students, parents, and school education team to provide tailored counseling and support in accordance with Individualized Education Program (IEP) requirements.
• Working closely with IEP teams to offer additional assistance and resources to students.
• Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations to speak to student support needs.
• Prior experience with the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) is essential.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Evaluating students' strengths and areas for improvement across academic, social, emotional, and behavioral domains.
• Formulating and implementing strategies to address challenges such as bullying, substance abuse, and violence.
• Leading and participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to develop and assess tailored educational plans for students with disabilities, including recommending appropriate accommodations and support.
• Analyzing data on students' academic and behavioral progress and preparing comprehensive reports to inform decision-making and enhance programs.

Job Requirements:

• DE School Psychologist Licensure
• Able to work full-time
• Preferred - previous experience working with kids with moderate to severe behavior needs
