We seek a highly skilled Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounts payable processes, exceptional attention to detail, and a proven ability to manage complex financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Process a high volume of complex invoices for payment or credit every month using primarily 3-way match
• Correspond with many different vendors regarding payment inquiries and discrepancies
• Record cash receipts daily
• Promptly respond to vendor inquiries or refer them to the appropriate department to help facilitate timely payment
• Log and organize all unvouchered invoices into a shared spreadsheet system awaiting receipt and/or PO/Invoice variance resolution
• Work across the organization to correct errors causing vouchering issues and find preventive actions to prevent future errors
• Analyze / review vendor statements for accuracy
• Prepare monthly accrual journal entries during month end close
• Ad Hoc analysis of accounts as required
• Provide supporting documentation for audits
• Perform weekly check runs of over $1M in size
• Manage vendor relations and have ability to problem solve and be proactive
• Ability to communicate with varying levels of management clearly and effectively
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills & Abilities Required

• Working in an AP department 3 years
• 3-way match vouchering
• Experience recording use tax while vouchering
• Prior manufacturing and/or purchase order experience
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proven ability to handle high volumes of data while maintaining strong attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED Required
• Associates degree in accounting is a plus
• Proficiency in MS Excel (required) and JD Edwards Enterprise Software (preferred)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 15 pounds.
• Indoor environment. Sitting, standing, and walking are common.
• Reading, listening, and talking are common.

Compensation DetailsHourly: $25.00 - $29.00
Additional CompensationHourly Rate for this position will be determined based on the applicant’s education, experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, and will be compared with internal equity along with market data for this position. This position may be eligible for an annual bonus through the company bonus program. This position may also be eligible to receive a Relocation bonus, payable as a taxable lump sum, in accordance with the Sundyne Relocation Policy.
