This Opportunity Sunrise Engineering is currently initiating a search for a Civil Engineering Manager to support our growing organization. This Full Time position is based in our Pocatello, Idaho office during our business hours, Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM.
A Day in the Life of a Civil Engineering ManagerAs a Civil Engineering Manager at Sunrise Engineering, each day unfolds with a sense of purpose and excitement. Our civil engineering teams are made up of interns, EITs, designers, and PEs leaving plenty of opportunities to mentor your fellow team members and provide guiding insights. Collaborating with a dynamic team, you embark on a journey to create innovative solutions for community engineering projects.
Your Day-to-day Activities May Include
- Planning, organizing and implementing the activities of the service center including managing all aspects of the service center:
- Business Development
- Production of Deliverables
- Personnel
- Operations
- Develop, maintain and track the marketing plan. Modify if necessary.
- Coordinate project efforts between project managers.
- Set goals for the service center.
- Work with staff to set individual goals and track the results.
- Perform annual performance reviews.
- Adjust employee compensation with assigned Vice-Presidents approval.
- Schedule and conduct regular staff meetings.
- Review and approve proposals and contracts less than 25K and will seek the approval from the Vice-President on proposals and contracts over 25K.
- Develop an annual business plan for corporate approval and will report business plan progress monthly to the assigned Vice-President.
Qualifications For Success Include
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering coupled with a valid P.E. License.
- 6-15 years of relevant experience in Civil engineering projects including water, sewer, drainage, transportation and grading elements.
- Proven strong verbal and nonverbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with teams and clients.
- Adaptable and open to working both in the office and on various project locations, embracing diverse challenges and environments.
