Groundskeeper - Maderas Non-Exempt Job Summary: The Groundskeeper performs a diverse range of activities involved in golf course maintenance and construction. The greenskeeper will perform semi-skilled grounds construction and maintenance work and related tasks. Essential Functions: Performs general landscape maintenance using handheld equipmentRakes and maintains sand bunkersOperates small machinery to assist with edging, trimming, and mowingPrepares soil beds for sod, seed and vegetable materialInvolved with tasks related to course detail (weed and debris clean up)Assist with golf course set-up proceduresOperates utility vehicles for hauling material and removing debrisPerforms skilled duties related to experience (pruning, plugging, etc.)Operates equipment safely and is aware of associates and their prospective work areasIncorporates safe work practices in job performanceRegular and reliable attendanceOther duties may be assigned as needed. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to perform all essential functions of the job descriptionPreferred Qualifications:Previous related experience or trainingExtensive knowledge of landscaping techniques and processesAbility to operate various types of power equipment including lawnmowers, trimmers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, and other landscaping equipmentAbility to use hand tools required for landscapingAbility to follow instructions and complete assignmentsExcellent time management skillsPhysical Demands: Regularly stands, walks, sits; uses hands; reaches with hands and arms; talks and hears.
