The LaQuinta Inn & Suites is seeking an experienced, hands on maintenance technician. This individual must be a motivated, self starter who can communicate well with guests and be a great problem solver in order to deliver great guest satisfaction. The property is under complete renovation and will be rebranded as a Hilton DoubleTree when completed. Reliable transportation is required since this an on-call position and a background check is required prior to employment.

Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment and machinery.
- Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track work orders, document maintenance activities, and maintain accurate records.
- Respond to maintenance requests from various departments and prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues or areas in need of repair.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance projects.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing maintenance concerns and resolving issues promptly.
- Supervise and coordinate contractors or external service providers when necessary.
- Fabricate or modify parts as needed to support maintenance activities.
- Demonstrate leadership skills by effectively managing a team of technicians.

Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and general building maintenance.
- Proficient in using CMMS software for work order management and tracking.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
