NPD Manager is responsible for the operational aspects of new product development, including establishing and monitoring timelines and budgets, developing reports, tracking tasks and will facilitate communication across Manufacturing, Design, Sales and Marketing and other key business areas, to drive successful new product design. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize workload. Priorities to be established by market demands and strategic decisions as decided by the Sr. Director of Technical Services.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Manage and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously; ensuring products are completed on time, to cost and quality specifications are met
- Ensure new products are tested and approved by Manufacturing and Customers prior to full initiation of product production
- Provide project leadership to existing products/projects
- Oversee product development, selection and qualification of various parts being used
- Identify project risk areas and strategies to overcome and minimize their impact
- Work with all departments in scheduling of production time for new product design
- Ensure critical issues are correctly identified and resolved in a timely manner
- Work with Customer Service, Manufacturing and Technical Group to assist in providing specification proposals to Customers who are requesting assistance and guidance
- Provide direction to the Tool Room and Engraving Departments
- Prepare and present project status reports
- All other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in project management; management or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience in project coordination, scheduling of projects, supervisory, new project design preferred. Previous experience with computer software applications in word processing and spreadsheets.LANGUAGE SKILLS:
