GENERAL SUMMARY:

As a Total Quality Management Systems Manager in manufacturing, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the organization's quality management systems (QMS) align with industry standards and best practices. You will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality processes and procedures to enhance product quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

QMS Development and Implementation:

o Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality management systems in accordance with ISO 9001 or other relevant standards.

o Define quality policies, procedures, and work instructions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer specifications.

o Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and measure the effectiveness of quality processes.

Process Improvement:

o Identify areas for process improvement and implement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization.

o Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.

Supplier Quality Management:

o Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to establish quality requirements for suppliers and ensure adherence to quality standards.

o Conduct supplier audits and assessments to evaluate compliance with quality agreements and specifications.

Training and Development:

o Provide training and guidance to employees on quality management principles, procedures, and tools.

o Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting quality awareness and encouraging employee involvement in quality initiatives.

Quality Assurance and Control:

o Implement quality assurance processes to verify compliance with quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.

o Perform regular quality inspections and audits to identify deviations and ensure product conformance to specifications.

Documentation and Reporting:

o Maintain accurate documentation of quality records, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective action plans.

o Prepare quality performance reports and metrics for management review, highlighting areas for improvement and opportunities for optimization.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

•Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

•Certification in quality management (e.g., Certified Quality Manager, Six Sigma Black Belt) is highly desirable.

•Proven experience in implementing and managing quality management systems in a manufacturing environment.

•In-depth knowledge of quality management principles, standards, and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, Lean Six Sigma).

•Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct data analysis and interpret quality metrics.

•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels.

•Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of driving continuous improvement and achieving quality objectives.

•Proficiency in quality management software and tools for documentation, analysis, and reporting.

$80,000-$100,000 DOE
