We are looking for a Bookkeeper (MUST BE BILINGUAL ENGLISH AND SPANISH - REQUIRED) to manage the financial records with precision and ensure the seamless operation of the financial processes of a new restaurant located in Wynwood FL.

Our client needs a bookkeeper to primarily assist in month-end close procedures and duties. The primary job responsibilities include preparing and entering journal entries for month-end closing, preparing and monitoring monthly account reconciliations with explanations for any significant changes in account balances, and preparing various financial reports.

MINIMUM 5 YEARS OF RELIABLE EXPERIENCE

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions by establishing accounts, posting transactions, and ensuring legal compliance.
• Develop and implement efficient bookkeeping policies and procedures.
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Process payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees.
• Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.
• Ensure all processes are compliant and incorporate improvements and efficiencies as necessary.
• Manage vendor payments, collections of receivables and other franchising items.
• Perform and/or review reconciliations for gift cards, credit cards, and due from/to other franchisees and corporate stores.
• Assists with external audit requests.
• No direct reports but partners with the CFO to manage workflow with external accounting team.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (preferred)
• Minimum of 4-5 years general accounting experience
• Restaurant or similar retail industry experience strongly preferred
• Proficient in QuickBooks online, Inventory System and Procurement & Payroll system
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Previous experience as a bookkeeper in a restaurant is a plus
• Ability to work under pressure
• Fluent in English and Spanish
• Location: Wynwood

Job Type: Full-Time

• Annual Salary: 50,000.00
