Duties And Responsibilities
- Weigh, measure, mix and prep ingredients according to recipes
- Steam, grill, boil, bake or fry meats, fish vegetables and other ingredients
- Check food ingredients for freshness
- Arrange and garnish dishes
- Work well under pressure and within the time limit
- Ensure that the kitchen area, equipment, and utensils are cleaned
- Rotate, date and label stock
- Adhering to all food safety procedures
- Any other duties requested by management
Education And Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Prior experience in related food and beverage service and food preparation positions
- Restaurant or customer service experience preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain a food handler certification card
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Working knowledge of sanitation procedures
- Must be able to lift, carry, push & pull up to 50 lbs with assistance
- Must be willing to work swing shifts, weekends and holidays as directed by General Manager
- Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, and squeezing & overhead reaching occasionally
- Must be able to stand, bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis
