About The RoleA Warehouse operative is responsible for carrying out the safe and efficient flow of materials throughout the manufacturing process and preparing finished product to be shipped and is a resilient, team-minded individual who does not stray away form a challenge. Duties and responsibility often include:
- Collecting and moving materials safely throughout the facility.
- Receiving and documenting materials into inventory.
- Issuing materials to various departments on the factory floor.
- Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packaging boxes; placing orders in staging areas.
- Final preparation for finished product to be shipped.
- Follows all safety rules and practices.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Forklift experience
- Prior relevant experience
- Forklift certified
- Inventory control knowledge
- Overhead crane experience
- Knowledge of materials used within the steel building industry
- Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials.
