We are currently hiring a Permitting Coordinator. We are always looking for passionate, energetic, and customer-focused team members to join our mission of providing homeowners the best experience possible on their home improvement projects.

The Permitting Coordinator at Sunwise Energy will work closely with the Operation Manager to prepare and conduct multiple, concurrent projects efficiently as well as to update project management systems and CRM software. They will oversee the filing and delivery of permits and support documentation for multiple solar array installations. They will be responsible for tracking progress of new and existing projects in development.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • This position will require speaking to townships about different types of permits that have been submitted or need to be submitted
  • Filing permitting applications and submitting them to the appropriate municipality
  • Calling townships about electrical permits, building permits, zoning permits, service upgrades, and main panel upgrades
  • Ability to work independently under pressure, to organize and prioritize workloads, and to keep several projects progressing to completion with little or no direction.
  • Serving as a liaison between field technicians, department management, government bodies, and customers.
  • Scanning and save incoming permits to the shared drive
  • Mailing completed permit applications to the appropriate municipality

Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and communicational skills
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Comfortable Driving on a regular basis
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Solar or construction industry experience is a plus
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Detail-oriented and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment

The successful candidate will be versatile and able to multi-task in a highly collaborative environment. Candidates must have strong leadership skills and work ethic. They must be able to thrive in a strong, dynamic team environment. This position is responsible for the overall success of the projects they manage and will be required to be the day-to-day contact person for their responsibilities.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
