Job Description:

The Summer Community Outreach Assistant will support the operations of the O'Connor Center for Community Engagement as well as assist in the Center for Student Leadership and Engagement as needed. The successful candidate will perform general office duties, help to manage and organize the Regalia food pantry and clothing store, assist with special projects, and serve as a representative of the Center. Start date in May or early June (flexible).

The Summer Student Staff Assistant will:

* Run the Regalia Food Pantry and Career Closet during the summer months, sorting & cleaning/washing donations, assessing inventory, reorganizing clothing, restocking food/toiletry items, etc.

* Coordinate with the summer Resident Assistant(s) and others to provide food deliveries to students living in the residence halls during the summer and support the coordination of residential community dinners

* Perform clerical duties as needed to support the operation of the office, including but not limited to filing and use of the copier, telephone, and desktop programs (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel)

* Collaborate with the OCCE Coordinator as well as CSLE staff on a variety of summer and fall planning projects ? Assist with office needs in preparation of Welcome Weekend

* Assist in the design, production and distribution of marketing materials

Additional Information:

SCHEDULE: Work 10-15 hours a week, starting in mid-late May or early June (flexible), and continuing into August
