Job Summary:

In this role, the Product Marking Operator will preform a variety of tasks to support the facility and its production and repair of products ensuring the proper marking of components to maintain information and traceability.

Core responsibilities:

• Read drawings to determine the style of marking required.
• Determine the correct marking machine to use for the task.
• Setting up the machine and equipment to mark parts to the proper specification.
• Organize the workflow to ensure jobs are performed in the correct sequence.
• Mark parts to specifications listed in the Stamping Work Instruction Book.
• Set up and adjust manual equipment to achived necessary outputs.
• Monitor tool wear and replace as necessary.
• Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment in to determine need for adjustments or repairs.
• Assist other departments when stamping queue is empty or when determined necessary by management.
• Participate in continuous improvement in safety, quality, and housekeeping.
• Ability to learn process, equipment specifications and company standards by actively consulting resources, associates, manuals, training department and policies
• This list in not all inclusive and may include other duties as assigned and necessary for the operation and management of the business.

Requirements:

A High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 6 months experience working in manufacturing environment.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Willing and able to work overtime as needed

Desired Characteristics:

• Experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is a plus
• Proficient with MS operating systems (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and work well with others
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and willing and able to learn and improve in all skill areas
• Follows all systems, policies, and procedures
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills, including attention to detail
• Organizes workflow to meet internal and external deadlines
• Compiles, maintains, and files all required paperwork, records, and documents, as directed
• Participates in trainings related to the company and/or job responsibilities
