Description

The Heavy Equipment Transportation Driver is a local standby Class A position that is responsible for operating commercial vehicles and heavy-duty trucks to tow trailers, transport materials, equipment, and construction supplies. During non-drive time, the Class A driver will provide warehouse and/or yard duties to support the operations team. Shift hours are 3 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Sunday to Thursday. 

Responsibilities

• Safely operates flatbed vehicles, heavy duty trucks, box trucks and or service body vehicles
• Tow trailers as needed using a heavy-duty vehicle
• Load and unload cargo
• Track and document activity log
• Communicate with dispatch and management
• Perform vehicle inspections
• Performs warehouse and other duties when not hauling freight
• Additional duties assigned in the warehouse or yard as needed

Requirements

• Class A commercial driver's license accepted by the FMCSA
• Ability to perform physical work; lifting or pulling up to 75lb continuously during the work shift
• Available to work overtime as needed
• Minimum 2 years driving experience
