Superior Skilled Trades is Hiring a Plant Maintenance Technician Near Dunnellon, FL
Seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician with 3-5 years of experience for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Ocala, FL!
Location:Ocala, FL
Salary: $27.00 - $33.00 per hour (based on experience)
Benefits: Full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental, and 401k
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on fluid bed dryers, granulation/milling systems, shipping systems, and mobile equipment.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the shop area.
- Conduct visual inspections of all process equipment.
- Perform PM activities, including greasing, oiling, and maintaining filters.
- Troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues with equipment.
- Operate a service truck with a crane to replace components.
- Perform mechanical work using hand and air-powered tools.
- Complete workplace exams and pre-shift inspections.
- Generate and communicate necessary documents and defect reports.
- Enforce safety policies and maintain a safe work environment.
- Participate in safety meetings and the Behavior Based Safety program.
- Assist teammates and support Safe Quality Food certification requirements.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of electrical experience.
- Completion of an apprenticeship or technical program, or equivalent industrial experience.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Problem-solving skills and strong communication abilities.
- Understanding of mobile equipment mechanics.
- Ability to work any shift, overtime, and on-call as needed.
- Strong teamwork and independent work skills.
- Basic reading and math skills.
- Good attendance and reliability record.
- Safety-oriented with a team mindset.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to access all plant locations, including heights up to 120 feet, confined spaces, ladders, stairs, and tunnels.
- Exposure to extreme heat, cold, noise, vibration, dust, fumes, and lime/mineral particles.
- Physical actions such as standing, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, talking, seeing, hearing, and sitting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
