DIRECT HIRE: A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior HVAC Technicianwith expertise in facility maintenance, including electrical, HVAC (Refrigeration), plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance. This is a direct hire opportunity with our client, a leading commercial facility maintenance provider.

• The successful candidate must be able to work in corrections/justice environments (prison, detention center, jail, courthouse, behavioral health facility, transition center, etc.)

Location: Jackson, GASalary: $33 - $40 per hour (Based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: $1,000 (paid after the first 90 days)

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC equipment using CMMS
• Install, repair, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment
• Ensure safe operation of environmental controls, boilers, and auxiliary equipment
• Diagnose problems using inspection/testing techniques
• Familiarize quickly with facility layouts and environmental control systems
• Adhere to safety procedures and maintenance standards
• Inspect completed work for compliance with safety codes
• Mentor and train entry-level technicians
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace
• Complete required training and compliance tasks
• May travel to other facilities for maintenance issues

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 4-6 years of building maintenance experience
• EPA & HVAC Certification (required)
• Valid driver’s license and insurance
• Refrigeration experience
• Previous management experience
• Knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance
• Ability to read blueprints and as-built drawings
• Willing to work occasional on-call shifts
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
• Microsoft Office skills required
• Self-motivated, team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Work Environment:

• Mostly indoors, some outdoor tasks with exposure to seasonal weather conditions and potential safety hazards
