Job DescriptionJob Summary:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of the House Manager to lead our service team and ensure an exceptional dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. This role involves overseeing all front-of-house operations, including staff management, customer service, and coordination with the kitchen and bar teams.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership:
  • Recruit, train, and supervise front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders.
  • Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak times.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and service expectations.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and high morale.
  • Customer Service:
  • Greet and interact with guests, ensuring their dining experience exceeds expectations.
  • Address and resolve any guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor and maintain dining room standards, including cleanliness, ambiance, and service quality.
  • Handle reservations, seating arrangements, and special requests efficiently.
  • Operations Management:
  • Oversee daily front-of-house operations, ensuring seamless service from opening to closing.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
  • Monitor inventory levels for front-of-house supplies and place orders as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Financial Management:
  • Assist with budgeting and cost control for front-of-house operations.
  • Monitor and manage labor costs, minimizing overtime while ensuring adequate staffing.
  • Track and analyze sales data, customer feedback, and operational performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Marketing and Promotions:
  • Work with the marketing team to develop and implement promotions, events, and special menus.
  • Engage with the local community and build relationships to attract new and repeat customers.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Front of the House Manager, Assistant Manager, or similar role in the restaurant industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • High level of organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering outstanding service.
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations, health and safety regulations, and financial management.
  • Proficiency in restaurant management software (e.g., POS systems).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in fine dining or high-volume restaurants.
  • Certification in food safety and sanitation.
