Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and supervise front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders.
- Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak times.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and service expectations.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and high morale.
- Customer Service:
- Greet and interact with guests, ensuring their dining experience exceeds expectations.
- Address and resolve any guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Monitor and maintain dining room standards, including cleanliness, ambiance, and service quality.
- Handle reservations, seating arrangements, and special requests efficiently.
- Operations Management:
- Oversee daily front-of-house operations, ensuring seamless service from opening to closing.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
- Monitor inventory levels for front-of-house supplies and place orders as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Financial Management:
- Assist with budgeting and cost control for front-of-house operations.
- Monitor and manage labor costs, minimizing overtime while ensuring adequate staffing.
- Track and analyze sales data, customer feedback, and operational performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Marketing and Promotions:
- Work with the marketing team to develop and implement promotions, events, and special menus.
- Engage with the local community and build relationships to attract new and repeat customers.
- Proven experience as a Front of the House Manager, Assistant Manager, or similar role in the restaurant industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- High level of organizational and multitasking skills.
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering outstanding service.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, health and safety regulations, and financial management.
- Proficiency in restaurant management software (e.g., POS systems).
- Experience in fine dining or high-volume restaurants.
- Certification in food safety and sanitation.
