Position: Regional Manager

Reporting position: CEO

Subordinate positions: Store Managers, Assistant District Manager

Job Type: Full Time, salary

Benefits: 80h paid vacation 40h paid sick time after 90 days, medical/dental/vision insurance option free life insurance (up to $10k) after 90 days, 401(k) match 100% up to 4% when employee contributes 5% offered after 6 months.

Schedule: 8am-5pm M-F, nights and weekends available as necessary or as assigned (not limited to)

Location: 3311 Division Ave S, Wyoming, MI 49548

Transportation: Reliable transportation required; mileage reimbursement offered

Summary Description: Olvera Enterprises is a rapidly growing organization that is currently seeking a Regional Manager to oversee the Supermercado Mexico operations. The Regional Manager will work alongside the Olvera Enterprises retail department services to continuously supervise and improve the day-to-day operation of the supermarkets. The ideal candidate will have experience in retail operations, including labor management, sales analysis, strategic planning, hiring and training practices, and more. The Regional Manager will also require knowledge in modern day technology and POS operations and how they relate to store operations to always be improving the overall customer experience and the store efficiency.

This position is primarily stationed at the corporate office but is expected to spend considerable time in the locations with the Store Managers and their teams. This may include evenings and weekends as necessary to always ensure proper store operations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the operation of the 3 Supermercado Mexico locations, in order to continuously improve customer experience and store efficiency.
  • Monitor, audit, and revise (when necessary) standard operating procedures at store level.
  • Create and execute a Strategic Plan for the Supermercado Mexico entities and update as necessary to align with the Global Strategic Plan.
  • Supervise performance of Store Managers at all Supermercado Mexico locations and provide performance evaluations.
  • Continuously monitor sales data and labor expenses as they relate to monthly and annual budgets and make necessary adjustments with Store Managers to better meet budget.
  • Collaborate with Accounting Department to maintain proper standing of annual budget.
  • Prepare monthly operational reports (including store operations, sales, and labor) to present to CEO and/or designated committees.
  • Authorize the hiring of Store Managers and Assistant Store Managers and monitor training of said hires.
  • Maintain appropriate channels of communication with Retail Service Department and its branches.
  • Collaborate with the Property Management Service Department to determine new store locations.
  • Supervise and execute procedures for openings of new store locations.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Organizational Communications, Business Administration, or 5 years equivalent experience in related industry.
  • Bilingual (preferred but not required): English and Spanish - reading, writing, and conversational proficiency.
  • Technological Proficiency: Microsoft Office, standard POS operation, and basic technological troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects.
  • Flexible schedule (as necessary) to meet the needs of the business.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
