PAY: $16 per hour

SHIFT: M-T, 5 AM to 3 PM

Mission of the Role

The Shipping Clerk reports to the Shipping Supervisor and maintains cycle count accuracy, prepares finished goods for shipment.

Key Duties & Accountabilities

• Prepares orders for shipment, pulls orders from stock, stacks on pallet according to size and weight utilizing forklift and shrink wraps pallets.
• Determines order pulling location/availability from manifest.
• Checks orders in the staging area to ensure the order has been properly filled.
• Loads and unloads trucks utilizing forklift.
• Prepares paperwork including completion of shipping forms, and logging of shipments.
• Must possess knowledge of truck lines and distribution points.
• Properly stocks finished product in designated areas.
• Warehouse transfers
• Essential Functions
• Complies with safety rules and regulations; wear steel toed shoes or coverings, hearing protection, safety glasses, shields and gloves as needed, is not involved in horseplay, is cautious when near equipment and machines, maintain housekeeping in work area.
• All other duties as assigned.

Desired Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to become certified to operate material handling equipment.
• Preferred: One year or more previous shipping experience in a manufacturing environment.

Special Skills Required:

• Acceptable verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Must be able to operate shipping department machinery.
• Must utilize Encore K2 by Amtech.
• Must possess ability to work at a rapid pace
• Must have a valid driver’s license

Required Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach and occasionally required to sit. Employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 85 pounds.
