Daily development and creation of packaging solutions including, but not limited to, custom shipping and manufacturing cartons, displays, point of purchase cartons, skin packs, food packaging, and pallet packs.
Outer and inner packaging needs are all taken into consideration to provide the customer with a complete and functional package utilizing a wide range of materials including, but not limited to, corrugated, foam, and chipboard.
Designs are created in a timely fashion using ArtiosCAD software and prototypes/samples are produced on our Gerber M3000 for customer evaluation.
This position works closely with production to insure that designs are functional and at the same time, practical on today’s corrugated machinery. This position also interfaces with customers, sales team and customer service as well as other members of the design team and office staff.
Additional software used is Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Excel and CapePack palletization.
Multiple jobs are assigned and may be in process at one time. The ability to multi-task and prioritize is a must.
Quick turn around on all projects is required. Sitting for long periods at a computer may be required. Lifting of 10-20 lbs can be expected frequently. Lifting of 25-50 lbs can be expected infrequently. Climbing a rolling ladder with handrails can be expected infrequently.
Additional tasks include, but are not limited to, pushing, pulling, maintaining materials inventory, sample-making, small order production, creating assembly instructions, accompany sales on customer visits, housekeeping of design area and ISTA 1A package testing.
Ability to read measurements on a ruler or tape measure is beneficial
Prefer 2 years manufacturing experience
Able to physically meet the demands of the position (bending, lifting, twisting, walking, reaching, lifting up to 50#'s)
