"Pay: $25-$27 per hour"
SCHEDULE. Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
JOB SUMMARY. As a member of the Supportive Living NW team, the Medical Coordinator (MedCo) has the overall responsibility to provide the level of medical support necessary to people with disabilities to live a quality lifestyle in a non-facility based residential model. The Medical Coordinator will ensure that all medical/health needs of the clients are met and documentation maintained consistent with and in accordance with Supportive Living NW’s Policies & Procedures and WACS (Washington Administrative Code).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

  • Manage assigned case per requirements of the Medical Coordinator Job Description 

  • Order all medication in a timely manner and ensure supplies are adequately stocked in the home. 

  • Report all medication errors as defined in the WAC and Supportive Living NW’s policies to your supervisor. 

  • Arranges and facilitates medical appointments and coordinates staff members knowledgeable about the client to attend them. 

  • Take steps necessary to ensure that client medications are effectively monitored.

  • Assures all medication orders and treatment plans are consistent with the physician's orders and in accordance with the DDA policy manual and WAC's. 

  • Ensure MAR's and Treatment Plans are accurate and completed on time. 

  • Maintain all medical bills for the client. 

  • Trains staff on medications, client specific assistive devices as prescribed by the healthcare provider. 

QUALIFICATIONS. A demonstrated ability to work with developmentally disabled adults and three (3) years of related experience or education with increasing responsibility. In addition, the following minimum requirements must be met, in accordance with WAC 275-26-060: 

  1. Have a background inquiry clearance by the authorized state agency. 

  1. Exhibit mature behavior and the ability to make independent judgments. 

  1. Demonstrate the capacity to be an appropriate role model to clients and coworkers. 

  1. Be eighteen years of age or older. 

  1. Treat a client with dignity and consideration, always respecting the client’s civil and human rights. 

EDUCATIONS AND EXPERIENCE. 

High school diploma or equivalent. 

At least three (3) years of related experience required.

CPR and First Aid – current or ability to obtain/renew. 

NA-C, NA-R, or HCA.
Driver License and Auto Insurance

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS. The Medical Coordinator position will typically experience frequent sitting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions. Occasional lifting of 25 lbs. Occasional bending, twisting, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, standing, crawling, reaching, walking, driving, traveling, kneeling, and crouching. Typically, indoors, but may accompany client on outings. Sound level – moderate. Temperature – moderate.
