Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer (ME) to lead a dynamic team working on the Abrams program. The Abrams Maintenance Engineering Lead will play a crucial role in developing maintenance concepts, publications source data, and Logistic Support Analysis Records (LSAR). The ideal candidate will lead a team of Maintenance Engineers, provisioners, and RPSTL leads, ensuring that all project deliverables are achieved efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team to develop contract deliverables within budget and schedule constraints.
  • Collaborate with design engineers, Integrated Logistics Support Managers (ILSM), and other functional teams to address logistics, supportability, and maintainability issues.
  • Perform supportability and maintenance task analyses.
  • Review technical documentation to identify maintenance and supply support requirements.
  • Develop and update LSAR in compliance with standards using Slicwave.
  • Create Maintenance Engineering source data for Field Maintenance Technical Manuals and other publications.
  • Assess designs for requirements compliance and recommend improvements for supportability and maintainability.
  • Conduct detailed task analysis as part of the Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) process.
  • Translate technical information into source data for Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) product development.
  • Support Logistic Demonstrations and ILS product validation/verification efforts.
  • Assist in field test activities, track incidents, and provide close-out reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Engineering Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in ground combat vehicle maintenance.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Abrams design.
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-1388-2B and GEIA-STE-0007.
  • 10 years of experience with LSA/LSAR and Slicwave.
  • Knowledge of Special Tools and Test Equipment (STTE).
  • Understanding of U.S. Army logistics support structure, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including Teamcenter, CAD models, and MS Office applications.
  • Thorough understanding of the Problem Reporting process and Field Problem Review Board (FPRB).
  • Experience with Engineering Design Review Process, FMECA, MTL, and RCM.
  • Familiarity with the Validation/Verification process.
  • Experience in proposal and Basis of Estimates (BOE) development.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value (EVC).
  • Experience with National Maintenance Work Requirements (NMWR) analysis and Modification Work Order (MWO) development is a plus.
  • Occasional weekday and/or weekend overtime may be required.
