Title: Certified Surgical Technician OR (Full-time)
Scrubbing, setting up and assisting
In preparation for the case assess need for required instruments, equipment, and supplies, Assess need for positioning devices and assist with positioning of the patient as needed, Prepare room in a timely manner to prevent case delays ,Does not leave room until properly relieved, Pulls/checks cases for needs and completeness, Checks equipment before case to ensure proper functioning, Uses aseptic technique, Wears appropriate attire, Uses proper hand washing techniques, Plans and maintains a sterile field, Corrects breaks in techniques immediately, Wipes room down before 1st case of the day, Assist with turning over OR rooms to include setting up equipment, Properly uses and documents sterilizer use, Dons gowns and gloves using proper technique, Uses proper prepping technique, Uses count sheets appropriately, Performs counts correctly per policy and procedures, Follows protocol for incorrect count, Demonstrates manual dexterity in handling, use of surgical instruments, Passes instruments appropriately, Assists with draping using proper technique, Effectively retracts and assists during the procedure, Properly applies dressings as instructed, Ensures proper collection and labeling of all specimens, Performs proper hand off to Registered Nurse of all specimens
Requirements
Must be a Certified Surgical Tech
ASC experience preferred.
Multiple Service line skills (Ortho, Spine, Podiatry, General, ENT, Urology, Robots, Pain, GI)
Min 1 year experience
