POSITION OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for developing training curricula and plans to ensure staff receives the initial and ongoing training needed to use Meditech (Hospital) and Athena (Clinic) Electronic Medical Record (EMR) effectively, perform clinical workflows, and maintain their clinical competency. This requires a coordinated and collaborative approach with multiple departments. Will supply backup support to our other EMR Support Analyst in end-user support as needed.

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, required
  • Associate's degree or a graduate of an accredited medical or dental training program with a minimum of 2 years experience in that role, preferred. 

EXPERIENCE:

  • One (1) year of classroom training experience, required. 
  • Training Documentation experience, required. 
  • Train-the-trainer experience, required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of EMR Experience as a Skills-Based Trainer, EMR Support Analyst, or similar role, elbow-to-elbow training, preferred. 
  • Basic/intermediate project coordination experience, preferred. 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of adult learning theories, teaching strategies, training methodologies and basic instructional design concepts. 
  • Ability to perform practical one-on-one and group training. 
  • Demonstrated planning, organizational and time management skills.
