GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: 

Pre-Anesthesia Nurses interview patients several days before their surgeries to collect data from the patient and medical record in an effort to ensure the patient is right for surgery at the surgical center. PAT Nurses review labs, patient histories, other disciplinary studies to create a picture of where the patient fits as a candidate for surgery at the TOSH Surgical Center. The Nurses collaborate with Anesthesia, Cardiologists, Primary Care Physicians, and other disciplines to allow the best chance for a safe surgical experience. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:

• 2 years' experience in Surgical Services
