Thank you so much for your interest in supporting Susan B. Anthony Project as a volunteer.
As a nonprofit, we rely on the support of volunteers to help us accomplish our mission to promote safety, healing, and growth for all survivors of domestic and sexual abuse and advocate for the autonomy of women and the end of interpersonal violence.
SBAP offers two levels of volunteerism, each with their own requirements.
They include:
Non-Certified Volunteers: These volunteers help us with Special Events, Development, Fundraising, Administrative and Community Education & Outreach.
We ask that these volunteers have consistent blocks of availability on weekdays during our office hours of 8:30-4:30 and or occasional evening or weekend events. Non-Certified Volunteers will be asked to participate in a Domestic Violence/ Sexual Assault Ambassador training.
Some examples of non-certified opportunities include:
Certified Volunteers: Due to the sensitive nature of the work we do with survivors of trauma and abuse, any volunteer or intern who has direct interaction with SBAP’s clients must complete a mandatory 50-hour certification course on domestic and sexual violence.
Certified volunteers are called on to support our staff and clients in a variety of capacities including:
Please note:
If you are interested in volunteering, please complete the application in the next step of this posting.
Thank you again for your interest in supporting Susan B. Anthony Project.
