Our award-winning residential and commercial interior design firm with projects all across the country – is seeking a Design Assistant who is energetic, excited about the world of interior design, and likes to roll up their sleeves to help in a variety of ways. 

Prior experience in interior design or customer service is a plus, and we are happy to accept internships or college co-ops as a part of this credential.

The below are a baseline for the general requirements and responsibilities we are looking for, but are flexible depending on each individual candidate's strengths and goals.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Assisting project managers and principal designers with tasks as needed
• Gathering pricing and availability details on everything ranging from fabric, wall covering, artwork, custom creations, and furniture vendors / retailers
• Presenting project updates in weekly team meetings
• Running errands to the Boston Design Center and other important firm partners (with our company car)
• Helping maintain updated internal fabric and wallcovering libraries
• Assisting in important shipments and project logistics
• Helping assemble materials for client presentations and proposals
• Assembling team installation kits

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Prior professional experience with references
• High level of organizational skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable taking initiative and pitching in wherever is needed
• Strong ability to multitask and excellent time management skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, as you will be regularly interacting with clients, vendors, sales reps, architects, contractors, other support staff and the full design team
• Comfort with with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Zoom
• Prior experience with Design Manager software a plus but not required
• Reliable transportation to and from the office

Expectations:

This position is full-time in our South End office (this is not a remote eligible position). Working hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm. 

This position comes with a full benefit package, including heath and dental care, 401K matching, and paid time off. Benefit coverage starts after 90 days of employment.

Salary range is commensurate with experience.
