Sustainable Partners Ltd is Hiring a Solar Technician (Commercial) Near Stockton, CA

My client is a leading cleantech integrator and renewable energy asset developer, owner and operator

They have an opportunity for a Journeyman Electrician in the Stockton, California area experienced with inspecting, troubleshooting and maintaining commercial or utility solar facilities varying from 5 - 15MW installations.

  • Ideally with a current Journeyman's Electrical License

Package:

  • Salary $50-$53 per hour (you are paid door to door) - This is a Full Time Permanent role.
  • Overtime paid at 1.5x
  • Company Vehicle.
  • Benefits package.
  • $5000 sign on bonus.
  • Relocation available (you must be a US citizen and currently live in the US).

Responsibilities:

  • Repair, test, troubleshoot, inspect, install, remove and maintain solar site equipment such as solar panels, inverters, transformers, breakers, switchgear and SCADA equipment.
  • Supervise and train apprentice electricians/co-workers to teach proper, safe use of tools and maintenance procedures.
  • Recognize safety hazards and follows safety guidelines for personal protection, protection of fellow workers and the protection of the public.
  • Reads and interpret instruction manuals, blueprints and control system drawings; apply knowledge to daily tasks.
  • Complete written and electronic records (i.e. work orders, calibration sheets, time cards, material requests) required to document the work in progress and as it is completed.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of electricity, voltage and current relationships for both AC and DC circuits.
  • Knowledge of Solar PV a plus.
  • Ability to successfully complete position training and testing requirements.
  • Ability to push, pull, bend, stand, stoop, lift, carry, reach, climb, hear, see, and work on ladders for extended periods of time with hands and arms at heights to install and troubleshoot equipment.
  • OSHA training and certification preferred.
  • Travel and flexibility for ‘on call’ support or varied schedule needs.
