ResponsibilitiesSVS Vision is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for our corporate office located in Mt. Clemens, MI. Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
- Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs
- Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
- Accounts payable vendor invoice payment filing
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
- Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
- Processing due invoices and customer refunds for payments
- Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
- Processing transactions, assist in monthly closeout tasks and reports, account reconciliations, and miscellaneous other accounting duties, as needed
- Must exhibit strong work ethic and be driven by positive teamwork
- Ability to focus on attention to detail and follow through
- Professional and effective communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to multi-task and maintain accuracy
- Capacity to work well under pressure and time sensitive deadlines
- Must be comfortable & proficient in a call center environment
- Strong Data Entry & MS Office Skills
- Accounting experience required
