Sweetie Boy Transportation is Hiring a Parts Coordinator (Heavy Truck - Diesel) Near Richmond, VA

```
Duties:

  • Oversee and manage inventory for the Truck repair center
  • Responsible for using reporting to keep inventory levels sufficient for repairs needed, ordering and receiving parts, keeping accurate accounting for all inventory received and distributed
  • Assist Fleet Manager, Shop Foreman with acquiring the required and correct parts for any work in process.
  • Responsible for inspecting each part received for accuracy, proper pricing and damage. correct parts are issued to proper technicians
  • Manage overall parts-returns to less than 20%. Return incorrect and defective parts and reorders for credit to the appropriate suppliers and document promptly in Fleetio management system
  • Help with general maintenance of the facility, e.g., cleanliness, organization, etc.
  • Perform assigned duties in a safe and responsible manner that does not expose yourself or other employees to unnecessary risk of injury.
  • Attend daily shop huddle meetings.
  • Must be proficient with Google, Microsoft and Apple systems.
  • Must be an effective communicator with Fleet Manager, Shop Foreman and Shop Technicians.
  • Must be able to type at least 30-40 words per minute.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Including mirror matching to old part.
  • Responsible for storing all received parts with proper repair orders and/or ensure

Qualifications:

- Basic knowledge of Diesel engine parts
- Previous experience in parts management or a related field, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of equipment repair, supply chain management, and inventory control principles.
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing from suppliers.
- Familiarity with demand planning techniques to forecast parts needs accurately.
- Proficient in warehouse management systems and inventory tracking software.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various departments and vendors.
