SWIM USA is the premiere designer and manufacturer of women's swimwear located in NY, NY. We are 84 years young and seeking a dynamic Senior Production Manager to join our team.

The Senior Production Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing the day to day activities as it relates to the life cycle of swimwear at the same time build working relationship between sales, design, and entities overseas to ensure the success of the business.

The ideal candidate should have familiarity with different types of projects and deliverables, including but not limited to knowledge of ERP and PLM systems such as Blue Cherry. In addition, the Senior Production Manager will demonstrate effective resource management in collaboration with department team and with resource managers. In this position, you will be a resource as well as working closely with internal teams and clients to achieve business needs.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Will lead and direct a team or Production Managers, whom are responsible for managing all aspects of the garment production time and actions calendars.
• Possess strong personal skills, self-motivated, and well organized. An engaging- blend of process management, creative thinking and business skills.
• Strong work ethic with high degree of flexibility.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with internal team members across multiple levels, at the same time building trust in your ability to get the job done effectively.
• Excellent project management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects across fluctuating deadlines. A strong hand on, roll up your sleeve type that can organize, assist and handle multi-faceted projects.
• Proven people manager with a demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and manage a team of direct reports; monitoring and evaluating team progress against expectations, in addition to aligning and changing behavior with performance expectations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage heavy workloads, prioritize work appropriately, and meet assigned deadlines.
• Escalates issues within a time period and with the right approach (whether internal or with client).
• Possess the ability to be the conductor of the project & team; be proactive, solution-oriented, and strategic leader (not reactive).
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Lead business planning meetings with a detailed understating of inventory management.
• Strong problem-solving skills; ability to proactively identify and implement effective solutions.
• Costing: Develop cost modeling strategies to identify "should cost" methodologies. Negotiate costs and identify solutions to achieve the margin goals set by the VP of Brands and Private Label
• Support sourcing strategies and develop annual capacity planning for development and production.
• Review and drive team to manage customer compliance requirements, which include testing protocol requirements, labels, tickets, packaging, QC requirements etc.
• Create and manage calendars and time and action timelines for all accounts, or lines, each season
• Lead production planning meetings. Drive resolutions while staying on track for critical milestones.
• Travel to Asia and establish regular connectivity with factory and mill suppliers.
• Issue purchase orders to the sourced factories and supply the necessary data into Blue Cherry.
• Manage, track and approve vendor invoice payments.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree required in business, merchandising or supply chain management.

Experience: A minimum of eight years' experience in garment production with participation in sourcing process.

Skills:

• Must be organized, detail oriented and have excellent follow up skills
• Must have Walmart experience
• Extensive knowledge of ERP and PLM Systems (Blue Cheery) software preferred
• Must possess strong computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Must be able to analyze and report data
• The ability to work with Asian suppliers after work hours via phone or email
• Must be able to prioritize and work within tight deadlines.

Travel: As needed.

Working Conditions: office with some remote working flexibility.

Physical Demands: Must be able to stand/sit/walk for 8 hours per day.
