We are seeking an ambitious and collaborative individual to join our growing company.
Position Opportunity: Head of Sales Department
Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Sales to join our growing team. This pivotal role will initially focus on acting as the lead salesperson for key accounts. Over time, the role will grow into a management position, involving the organization of our customer list, management of other salespeople, and implementation of processes to ensure performance and accountability of our sales force. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of sales success, leadership skills, product knowledge, and strategic thinking to drive growth and establish Swimline as a household name in every pool, outdoor, and marine store.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Account Management: Act as the lead salesperson for key accounts, including distributors, buying groups, and large retailers.
  • Customer List Organization: Strategically organize customer list so it is effectively & logically distributed across the sales team.
  • Team Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed their sales targets. Provide regular performance feedback and coaching.
  • Manage the sales team, setting clear performance goals and accountability.
  • Implement ongoing sales training programs to ensure the sales team has thorough product knowledge, understands the competitive landscape, and masters advanced sales techniques.
  • Sales Process Optimization: Streamline sales processes using CRM and other sales tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Create a structured sales cycle from lead generation to closing.
  • Reporting: Generate clear and digestible sales reports for review by the sales force and upper management.
  • Strategic Leadership: Oversee the development of new customer acquisition strategies and enhance customer retention programs, strategically positioning the team for sustainable growth.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in sales expertise, with a track record of customer success.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with clients and team members alike.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, capable of inspiring and motivating a sales team.
  • Excellent strategic planning and execution skills, with experience in developing and implementing sales strategies.
  • Deep understanding of implementable sales cycle processes.
  • Experience in the pool, outdoor, or marine product sectors is highly beneficial.
  • Proficiency in data analytics to track sales progress. Excel skills highly beneficial.
