SwimRVA is Hiring a Wellness Head Coach Near Richmond, VA
SwimRVA is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual, who primary availability is to work part-time in the mornings to mid-day to join our team as a Wellness Head Coach! The Wellness Head Coach is a leader of the SwimRVA Wellness Program. You will be the lead for developing and planning events and programs to empower SwimRVA Wellness participants in pursuing social and physical wellbeing. The Wellness Head Coach will serve in the community at times to champion SwimRVA Wellness as a leader in the preventative health care community for active adults. The mission of SwimRVA is to elevate swimming in the Richmond region making water safety and aquatic fitness more accessible to all. SwimRVA believes our strength and impact is driven by our people. We invest in the growth and development of our team members in order to grow our impact. The SwimRVA Wellness Head Coach Job Duties
Develops a creative and impactful wellness program
Maintain industry knowledge on older active adult wellness best practices and programming.
Sets group fitness class schedule on a monthly basis
Reviews class attendance and works to increase participation through engagement with wellness membership
Develops an engaging and informative monthly luncheon program around wellness topics for SwimRVA Wellness community
Performs 1:1 wellness consultations with community members looking to engage with SwimRVA Wellness to reach their wellness goals as needed.
Serve as an ambassador for SwimRVA Wellness in the community
Attend senior wellness advisory and advocacy meetings throughout the region
Develop key relationships with older active adult based organizations in the community who can help connect SwimRVA with community members
Strategize with Communications marketing and outreach initiatives
Lead a team of group fitness instructors
Schedule group fitness instructors on a monthly basis
Reviews group fitness instructors bi-annually
Maintains and tracks group fitness instructor certifications
Creates professional development plan collaboratively with each fitness instructor
Ability to teach/sub land and water group exercise classes when needed and also as desired
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in exercise science, kinesiology or related area of study preferred or 5 years related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
Ability to use critical thinking, and is customer service savvy
Must be able to show great customer service to all customers and employees of SwimRVA
Salary/Benefits
Part-time non-exempt position
Starting at $20.00/hour
Multiple locations- North Chesterfield, Church Hill, North Henrico
