Position Summary:

This position entails coordinating and keeping the computer network running smoothly, collaborating with a third-party IT company to implement software updates, and helping various team members with computer issues as they arise. This is a Full-time position that reports to the Firm's Operations Manager.

Job Description:

We are looking for a multi-tasker with excellent communication skills and an upbeat attitude. C.

Successful candidates should be professional, polite and have excellent organization. The role will also involve reviewing/analyzing software and hardware needs, recommending changes and upgrades where applicable to provide efficient, effective, and timely service to users in the firm.

Essential Functions

1. Sets up new users on network and provides access to appropriate software.

2. Sets up print queues, network printers, and menu options and changes.

3. Keeps inventory of computer equipment.

4. Keeps track of what software the firm uses, and installs all software updates.

5. Sets up new workstations.

6. Performs minor repairs to equipment, maintains hardware in good working order.

7. Maintains backup system of all computer functions; designs and establishes disaster recovery procedures to ensure retrieval on all data and system software.

8. Oversees the database administration function to ensure data integrity is maintained.

9. Helps staff with computer/printer problems (hardware and software).

10. Works with consultants as necessary.

11. Writes and keeps network documentation current.

12. Researches, evaluates, analyzes, and makes recommendations to management on the hardware and software needs of the firm.

13. Assists clients with computer installations as assigned by partners.

14. Lifts and moves computer hardware from one location to another.

15. Prepares, directs, and controls a computer budget.

Other Functions

1. Trains staff on software.

2. Orders computer supplies.

3. Keeps all support agreements current.

4. Such other duties as may be assigned.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

1. At least two years’ experience as a network administrator of a computer system with a minimum of 10 users.

2. Possesses a bachelor's degree in accounting, computer science, OR an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience.

3. Ability to lift 50 lbs.

4. Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.

5. Ability to use all general office equipment including a computer.
